Portable drive users will no doubt relate to the fact that this connection technology, although zippy, is one of the easiest to wiggle loose or easily unplug. My experience has been that the cables also wear out quickly, perhaps as a result of overly-frequent removal. I have been using these on my Lacie drives with both my desktop and laptop, and they work well. I'm not looking for them to last longer than the ones that shipped with my drives. I'm just looking to afford to carry enough that when I start to see issues with connection reliability, I can toss and grab another.
Proscable sturdy but flexible enough to allow me lots of options on where to nestle the drive, particularly when mobile
ConsWould love to see someone make the width a bit beyond spec to reduce this tecchnology design's inherent tendency to come loose
