This adapter is female on both sides. It will take your male plug of either the standard Type A Male, and make it a Mini B Female, or take a Mini B Male plug and make it a Type A Female. So, you could actually take a standard Type A Male to Mini B Male cable, and using this adapter, create a Mini B Male to Female Extension Cable.
