DVI-A (Analog) to VGA Cables
Digital Visual Interface (DVI) is the standard interface for high-performance connections between PCs and Flat Panel Displays, Digital CRT Displays, Projectors, and HDTV. These DVI Analog Video Cables deliver the high-performance, high-bandwidth interface needed for video displays of today and leaving headroom for the products of tomorrow. These precesion-engineered cables are fully compliant with the DVI standard as defined by DDWG (Digital Display Working Group).
DVI-A (Analog) is different than DVI-D (Digital). DVI-A can only be converted to VGA, not to HDMI. So there are 4 pins around the single long slot pin on the DVI side for the analog signals. These will prevent this cable from fitting into a DVI-D socket on a video card or other device.
You cannot Convert or Adapt Digital to Analog signals with just an adapter or cable - you would need a signal converter box to do this.
