Good Value - Nice easy to use clip protector. These simple tabs on the molded ends are SO MUCH easier to use than the full boots. Full boots make it dificult to both unclip and often clip in populated switches. These little tabs are great.

I ordered about 500.00 in cat 6 cables to do a big server project what I found is that the ends of the cables are just a bit out of spec. We used all Dell serves to a Cisco switches some did not fit tight in the nic cards or the switch once moved some we could watch the rite jump from 1 to 100. just a FYI

I am a little surprised to find out that the cables you purchased didn't work right for your application. We have been selling these cables for 8 years, and have two really good suppliers for these cables.

This is the first time that anyone has mentioned any kind of problems with the CAT6 cables, and I can see where you bought several different lengths and different colors, so they would be out of different batches.

We have been selling and using these cables in large installations from some other large local companies and have not heard of problems from them. I can only guess that this would be limited to this install, but I have no real way of knowing unless someone else mentions similar problems.

Better than

I used to use the molded patch cables with snagless boots from another supplier. The problem was they were hard to unplug from jacks that were recessed at all. These cables are much easier to release from an RJ-45 jack that has difficult access for your fingers.

Pros:

Easier to unplug from recessed jacks.

Cons:

Could be more likely to snag when being dragged out of a rat's nest of cables. So, take your time and don't let a rat's nest develop!

Great for Patch Bays

We use these 3 ft patches in our patch bays. They are just right for jumping from a patch through a lacing bar and to a switch port. The lever-style boot is a little long, but is easily removed if that is your preference.

Pros:

Clear ends, so you can see the conductors.
Lever-style boots.
Sealed cable.
Clean contacts.

Cons:

None.

Good Cables but hard to connect

Well made cables but the hood tabs over the release tabs tend to make it difficul to insert the cable in a socket, unless you peel it back first.
