    You get what you pay for

    While the price and availability of the product was incredible the quality of the product is not. The 4 pin side of the cables we purchased did not work due to the pins being set to far back into the connectors head. It also loosely fit the cameras we plugged into.

    This cable is built to last. There is a heavy jacket with thick shielding. The boots are solid, and there is actually a decent amount of strain relief on the connector ends. We're using them to connect Avid NewsCutters to Avid Mojo boxes.

    Will this cable allow me to transfer video directly from my JVC GR-DA30U camcorder to my PC. Camcorder is a 4pin. Does the 6pin portion fit into a standard USB port on PC?
    Firewire cables require a PC with a Firewire port on them. Also known as iLink or IEEE1394. Most PC's do not come equipped with them, but you can purchase an add-on card ($10-$20). The USB port will not work or fit for a Firewire connection. They do look similiar in size, but the the firewire has one rounded side on it, and USB does not.
